LNCC Chairman Wayne Root is reaching out to millions again with the Libertarian Party message, this time through both Fox News and The Washington Times.

Wayne writes, in part:

President Obama is presiding over a new civil war. This war pits rich against poor, taxpayers versus tax-takers and unions against the private sector. Voters across this country who get checks from the government will vote for Mr. Obama to keep the checks coming, regardless of race. They want to be taken care of by government, from cradle to grave.

So this civil war is not about race, it’s about economic class, ambition, drive and work ethic…

…Mr. Obama actually said words that made me sick to my stomach and brought tears to my eyes. They are words so vile they are an affront to every American business owner and a reminder of his deep-seated hatred and resentment toward business owners. Mr. Obama said that business owners owe their success to government. He actually said that if you’ve built a business, you don’t get the credit. It’s government who has been by your side. You need to give government the credit.

Mr. Obama says government helped me every step of the way as a businessman. Really? With that kind of thinking, the only remaining question is whether he actually believes the absurd propaganda he spews.

Mr. Obama is right about one thing: Government is always by our side. Unfortunately, it ruins almost everything it touches…

…Government isn’t there helping me while I work 16-hour days, weekends, early mornings, late nights, holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. Government isn’t there when I make important decisions that affect the future of my business. Government isn’t there when I risk my hard-earned money and lose everything. Government isn’t there when I make pitches to potential clients that determine whether my business grows, stagnates or fails. Government isn’t there when I start each week at zero, as all entrepreneurs do every week. Government isn’t there, thank goodness, when I raise my family — though it tries to be…

…Government isn’t a savior or saint. Government resembles the Mafia. It is like organized crime with the weight of the law behind it. Under Mr. Obama, it is hell-bent on turning public sentiment against all of us who own businesses, destroying America’s belief in capitalism, and redistributing our incomes until our businesses are crippled or closed. Then government will be our only place to turn.Let’s avoid class warfare and a divided nation. Let’s pull back from the brink of a civil war. For the good of America and our children, let’s outsource Mr. Obama. If we are to save this economy, capitalism, our jobs and this country, Mr. Obama must go.

Thirty-one percent (31%) say “the economy” is “the most important problem facing this country today.” The second most pressing issue is “jobs,” coming in at 26 percent.

Combined, 57 percent of Americans cite jobs or the economy as the issue most in need of attention. Immigration garnered only three percent. Drugs, war and climate change did not even register on voter’s list of concerns.

The poll also found:

* “Seniors as well as Americans in households earning less than $30,000 annually join blacks in putting the greatest emphasis on unemployment and jobs as the nation’s top problem. By contrast, middle- and high-income Americans and those aged 18 through 64 are more likely to name ‘the economy.’”

* “Blacks focus more than either whites or Hispanics on unemployment as the nation’s top problem. However, whites worry more than blacks or Hispanics about the federal budget deficit…”

* “About 10% of adults in every major age group mention the federal budget deficit as the top problem, but it is of particular concern to Republicans (16%), adults earning $75,000 or more (12%), whites (11%), and men (11%). Relatively few blacks, Hispanics, low-income Americans, or Democrats mention the issue.”

Another 38 percent think the economy is becoming worse, while 22 percent say it’s staying the same.

Among independent voters the numbers are even grimmer. A whopping 48 percent say the economy is getting worse. Just 30 percent think it is getting better while 19 percent say it is staying the same.

You have the power to change that.

By supporting Libertarian candidates.

The “Libertarian Prosperity Plan” seeks to repeal the income tax and abolish the IRS, enact a constitutional amendment requiring a balanced federal budget without tax increases and repeal all corporate welfare programs and bailouts.

The Libertarian Prosperity Plan is rooted in the Libertarian Party platform and bedrock libertarian principles.

Unlike the other parties, we don’t promise tax cuts to just grab enough votes to win and then do nothing. Elected Libertarians enact tax and spending cuts because it is what we believe in.

The Plan would:

1) Repeal the income tax: Adopt legislation repealing the income tax and abolishing the Internal Revenue Service. Until the income tax is repealed, adopt legislation preserving the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts and enacting across-the-board income tax cuts.

2) Adopt the Balanced Budget Amendment: Adopt a constitutional amendment requiring the federal budget be balanced, and balanced exclusively by cutting expenditures, not by raising taxes.

3) Abolish corporate welfare and bailouts: Adopt federal legislation prohibiting any federal spending program that provides payments or unique benefits and advantages to specific companies or industries, terminating programs that provide direct grants to businesses, eliminating programs that provide research and other services for industries and ending programs that provide subsidized loans or insurance to businesses.

Only Libertarians have a plan, that they will follow up on, that frees job creators to begin investing and hiring again and curbs destructive federal spending.

Want to help put it into action?

“Our government is addicted to spending. It doesn’t matter what the tax rate is. It doesn’t matter how high the tax revenues. We could raise tax rates to 90% and government would still spend $1.40 for every dollar it takes in. So why are we blaming the victim (taxpayers) for the national debt?…

“…If President Obama got his way federal income taxes would hit 40% or higher. And he’d take the cap off FICA taxes. And he’d dramatically reduce or eliminate mortgage, charitable and business deductions. And then just for fun, he’d add a national VAT tax. Now add in the new taxes for ObamaCare. Add it up.

“Americans would face tax rates approaching 70%. And this time there is no cash economy. The government would take 60 to 70 cents of every dollar we all make, while we do all the work. The mafia has nothing on the government!

“So why is Obama playing fast and loose with the facts? Taxes aren’t low and he knows it. And the increases he desires aren’t small or fair, and he knows it.

“Our government is heavily in debt, and Obama needs to find targets of opportunity (i.e. victims) to pay the bills, so America doesn’t go bankrupt on his watch.

“Second, Obama’s only chance at re-election is to redistribute billions of dollars to his voters and campaign contributors in the way of entitlements, welfare, food stamps, stimulus, and green energy ‘investments’ by government.

“Third, by targeting, demonizing and punishing small business owners and high-income earners (the people who make almost all the contributions to conservative causes and candidates), Mr. Obama can starve his political opposition. If taxes are higher on the rich, then the president’s opposition has no money left to give to conservative candidates…”

“The congressional supercommittee tasked with cutting the debt is almost out of time. Good. Run out the clock. If its members do not come to an agreement, we’ll be forced to accept automatic across-the-board cuts to spending – including defense spending.

“That’s exactly what America needs. But our GOP friends, the ones who supposedly are defending capitalism from President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, are scared.

Study: $1400 tax hike needed to fund gov’t pensions – Obama already plundering funds to pay off retirements of campaign supporters

Got an extra $1,400 in your pocket?

That’s how much you’ll have to pay in tax hikes every year for the next 30 years to cover the exploding costs of government employee pensions.

“The study, co-authored by Joshua Rauh of Northwestern University and Robert Novy-Marx of the University of Rochester, both of whom are finance professors, argues that states will have to cut services or raise taxes to make up funding gaps if promises made to municipal employees are to be honored,” Reuters reports.

The Obama administration has already adopted one plan – raising the pensions of non-union workers and giving their retirement funds to unions that support his campaign.

“The administration gave union employees of auto parts supplier Delphi Corp. preferential treatment over nonunion, salaried employees when the U.S. took over Delphi’s pension plan, GOP representatives say,” The Los Angeles Times reports.

Clearly, spending must be cut immediately.

This is why Libertarians are so badly needed in state legislatures and local city councils. Only Libertarians will make the tough decisions to control spending and rein in government that have grown out of control under Republicans and Democrats and now threaten to bankrupt working families.

Just hours after announcing new government-mandated warning labels on cigarettes, White House officials hinted the federal government will next target breakfast cereals for government control.

“Sebelius did leave open the door to the possibility, perhaps sometime in the future, of some government involvement with the food industry in determining what healthy eating is,” Human Events’ John Gizzi reports.

“I think this [sic] is some space,” the HHS secretary said, “that is going to continue to have a robust conversation, because, again, it has a lot to do with underlying health costs and overall health of our nation.”

Under the Obama proposal, food companies would either “voluntarily agree” to remove sugar, sodium and fats from your food, or federal regulators wouldoutlaw their advertising, the Federal Trade Commission, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture propose.

“The most disturbing aspect of this interagency working group is, after it imposes multibillions of dollars in restrictions on the food industry, there is no evidence of any impact on the scourge of childhood obesity,” said Dan Jaffe, executive vice president of the Association of National Advertisers, according to Human Events.

Control what you eat from Washington, D.C., or criminalize its advertising?

Isn’t it time we elected Libertarians?
