LNCC Chairman Wayne Root is reaching out to millions again with the Libertarian Party message, this time through both Fox News and The Washington Times.

Wayne writes, in part:

President Obama is presiding over a new civil war. This war pits rich against poor, taxpayers versus tax-takers and unions against the private sector. Voters across this country who get checks from the government will vote for Mr. Obama to keep the checks coming, regardless of race. They want to be taken care of by government, from cradle to grave.

So this civil war is not about race, it’s about economic class, ambition, drive and work ethic…

…Mr. Obama actually said words that made me sick to my stomach and brought tears to my eyes. They are words so vile they are an affront to every American business owner and a reminder of his deep-seated hatred and resentment toward business owners. Mr. Obama said that business owners owe their success to government. He actually said that if you’ve built a business, you don’t get the credit. It’s government who has been by your side. You need to give government the credit.

Mr. Obama says government helped me every step of the way as a businessman. Really? With that kind of thinking, the only remaining question is whether he actually believes the absurd propaganda he spews.

Mr. Obama is right about one thing: Government is always by our side. Unfortunately, it ruins almost everything it touches…

…Government isn’t there helping me while I work 16-hour days, weekends, early mornings, late nights, holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. Government isn’t there when I make important decisions that affect the future of my business. Government isn’t there when I risk my hard-earned money and lose everything. Government isn’t there when I make pitches to potential clients that determine whether my business grows, stagnates or fails. Government isn’t there when I start each week at zero, as all entrepreneurs do every week. Government isn’t there, thank goodness, when I raise my family — though it tries to be…

…Government isn’t a savior or saint. Government resembles the Mafia. It is like organized crime with the weight of the law behind it. Under Mr. Obama, it is hell-bent on turning public sentiment against all of us who own businesses, destroying America’s belief in capitalism, and redistributing our incomes until our businesses are crippled or closed. Then government will be our only place to turn.Let’s avoid class warfare and a divided nation. Let’s pull back from the brink of a civil war. For the good of America and our children, let’s outsource Mr. Obama. If we are to save this economy, capitalism, our jobs and this country, Mr. Obama must go.

President Obama and even FoxNews.com contributor Sally Kohn have it backwards. Business owners don’t owe credit to government for their success. Government owes us credit for its existence! Government doesn’t enable or empower business owners. We empower government.

Business owners would do just fine without government. But government, government employees, and the “takers” of society — those who take checks from government — could not survive without us — the creators, producers and taxpayers. Simply put, we pay all the bills for government. We’re the ones you ought to be thanking…

…So why does Obama think we owe him? Why do progressives think we should say thank you? Sure, we need the things that help our society and economy grow — infrastructure, roads, bridges, traffic lights, police, fire, garbage, sewers, hospitals, airports, schools, and national defense. Though much of that could be handled by private enterprise. But Obama and others miss the crucial point — we (business owners and taxpayers) paid for that with our taxes. We built it! You owe us a debt of gratitude.

Without our business taxes, Social Security taxes, payroll taxes, workers comp taxes, sales taxes, property taxes, income taxes and estate taxes (we even pay you after we’re dead), there would be no money for all those things that Obama values. Why would we thank you, for things we paid for? When the customer walks out of the restaurant, or hardware store, or toy store, who thanks who? The business owner thanks us for spending our money in his establishment.

Instead of telling us how much we owe government, the progressive leftists and socialists should be thanking us. Without taxpayers — especially high income business owners — you wouldn’t be able to build roads, bridges, highways, schools or airports. Your infrastructure exists because of our hard work. Your schools exist because of rich business owners who pay huge property tax bills. Your Social Security, Medicare, welfare, food stamps and unemployment insurance exist because of business owners paying into the system.

Yes, President Obama, it all exists because business owners do in fact work harder and smarter. And you had better thank God we do it, or you’d be up the proverbial creek without a paddle…

….Americans are leaving for places that treat customers better. Even Obama’s rich elite leftist crowd is refusing to pay the higher taxes he wants. One of the co-founders of Facebook renounced his citizenship and left for Singapore — where the income taxes are more tolerable at 20% or less and the capital gains taxes are zero. Even though he’s a latte-drinking, tree-hugging San Francisco Bay area liberal, he left America rather than pay Obama’s future oppressive taxes.

Denise Rich could possibly be one of the top five Democratic contributors in America over the past 20 years. She is tight with the Clintons. Yet she renounced her citizenship, just days ago. She, too, refuses to pay the massive Obama taxes that are on the way.

So far it’s a trickle of ultra-rich that are leaving. Soon, if Obama is re-elected, it could become a torrent. I personally know hundreds of business owners exploring their options right now, many ready to leave the moment Obama is re-elected. This is called running a business without any customers. The taxpayers are unhappy. The only ones left will be Obama’s voters — the takers. But there won’t be anyone left to take from…

With Greece in flames, the United States’ credit rating downgraded and many cities and states teetering on bankruptcy, Libertarian National Campaign Committee Chairman Wayne Allyn Root takes on the real “one percent” looters: the bloated government workforce.

Root writing for Fox News, states in part:

The truth is that government employees are the true 1%. We have far too many of them (21 million), many of them are paid too much, and their union demands are straining taxpayers to the breaking point…

…I recently talked with a retired New York City toll taker. His salary averaged about $70,000 per year over 20 years. But in his last few years he worked loads of overtime and added in accumulated sick days to get his salary in those final years up to $150,000.

His pension is based on his final years’ salary. This is a common pension-padding ploy.

He bragged that he will now get a taxpayer funded pension of $120,000 a year for the rest of his life. He’s only 50 years old…

…

But here’s a frightening question- what if he lives to 90? Or 100? His pension could rise to $8 million or higher.

Multiply this times 21 million government employees (on the federal, state and local level) and you now get a sense of what is bankrupting America.

Are these stories the exception, rather than the rule? Over 77,000 federal government employees earned more than the governor of their state.

On the federal level, it was just reported by USA Today that the average federal civil servant compensation is $123,049 per year.

The average 50-year old male has a life expectancy of almost 80. With automatic cost of living increases, that’s a bill to taxpayers of $5 million for the next 30 years –for not working. THREE TIMES WHAT HE EARNED WHILE WORKING.

And, of course, we’re also paying his medical bills.

Who did that to you?

Republicans and Democrats.

Want to do something about it?

While that’s actually an improvement, it is still unacceptable to most Americans and not good enough to turn around the declining economy.

According to Gallup Chief Economist Dennis Jacobe:

Given this difficult operating environment, it is not surprising that many small-business owners also worry about potential new healthcare costs and government regulations. While small businesses are always finding ways to deal with their changing operating environment, including government regulations and healthcare, these added challenges can be seen as exacerbating an already uncertain and difficult situation. In turn, they become additional reasons to hold back on hiring.

Jacobe later writes:

(L)awmakers could place a moratorium on new regulations for some period of time. In turn, this might provide the extra push needed to get small-business owners to decide to hire the employees they actually need and get the economy growing at a pace the average American can recognize as an economic recovery.

Republicans won’t do that. Democrats won’t do that. But Libertarians will.

United Liberty writes today on the looming public pension bomb, when the lush retirement packages being handed out to government employees will overwhelm taxpayers and bankrupt state and local governments.

These facts should stop dead any further pushes to defend and keep public pensions sacrosanct. The left and public unions may get up and toot their own horn, but they can bleat about it until they’re blue in the face: the simple fact is we have no money. Eventually, people are going to get sick of the reductions in service and the hiking of taxes in order to pay for these pensions, and they’re going to come at them with hatchets.

Yet, for some inane reason, public unions cannot recognize this fact. They cannot see ahead even just ten years.

The good times are over. We all need to make cutbacks in order to get through this, and that includes our government. No matter what the left likes to think, reality does not have a liberal bias. It has a libertarian one.

Libertarian National Campaign Committee Chairman Wayne Root has long been speaking out about the need for public pension reform. It’s an issue that threatens to lead our nation down the same road as Greece, toward riots and flames.

Republicans consistently fail to address the issue. Democrats won’t touch it. There’s only one way to save America from bankruptcy and economic collapse — support Libertarian candidates.

“Our government is addicted to spending. It doesn’t matter what the tax rate is. It doesn’t matter how high the tax revenues. We could raise tax rates to 90% and government would still spend $1.40 for every dollar it takes in. So why are we blaming the victim (taxpayers) for the national debt?…

“…If President Obama got his way federal income taxes would hit 40% or higher. And he’d take the cap off FICA taxes. And he’d dramatically reduce or eliminate mortgage, charitable and business deductions. And then just for fun, he’d add a national VAT tax. Now add in the new taxes for ObamaCare. Add it up.

“Americans would face tax rates approaching 70%. And this time there is no cash economy. The government would take 60 to 70 cents of every dollar we all make, while we do all the work. The mafia has nothing on the government!

“So why is Obama playing fast and loose with the facts? Taxes aren’t low and he knows it. And the increases he desires aren’t small or fair, and he knows it.

“Our government is heavily in debt, and Obama needs to find targets of opportunity (i.e. victims) to pay the bills, so America doesn’t go bankrupt on his watch.

“Second, Obama’s only chance at re-election is to redistribute billions of dollars to his voters and campaign contributors in the way of entitlements, welfare, food stamps, stimulus, and green energy ‘investments’ by government.

“Third, by targeting, demonizing and punishing small business owners and high-income earners (the people who make almost all the contributions to conservative causes and candidates), Mr. Obama can starve his political opposition. If taxes are higher on the rich, then the president’s opposition has no money left to give to conservative candidates…”

“..this is National School Choice Week and all of that terrible economic news is child’s play (excuse the pun) compared to our failing government-run education system…

…The failure of our public school system condemns millions of young Americans to a future with no hope, no advancement, no good jobs, perhaps no jobs at all…

…When President Bush took office in 2000 Education Department spending was $30 billion. Today it is over $70 billion annually, plus another $175 billion extra in education spending from Obama’s stimulus program. Add up the numbers. We’ve gone from $30 billion annually to almost $200 billion in just over a decade. That’s about a 7-times increase in total education spending. Does anyone think education is 7 times better? Actually it’s more likely 7 times worse…

…Yet through all this gloom and doom, there is a ray of hope. A story of remarkable educational success. A story I call “Homeschool to Harvard.” My daughter Dakota Root was home-schooled by her small businessman dad and devoted Christian homemaker mom right here in Las Vegas. And the results are nothing short of amazing. Dakota scored perfect SAT scores of 800 in reading and writing. She was a National Merit Scholar and Presidential Scholar nominee.

She was accepted by many of this nation’s finest universities including Harvard, Stanford, Duke, Columbia, Penn, Brown, Chicago, Virginia, and Cal-Berkeley — the list goes on and on. She actually had the confidence to turn down an offer from the Yale fencing coach before she had gotten any of her other acceptances. The kid turned down Yale!…

…Dakota Root’s story is a testament to the power of the individual. Understanding that when it comes to educating our children, government is too big to succeed.

My advice as the home-school dad of a Harvard superstar scholar and athlete?

Take control.

Take charge.

Take action.

Be pro-active.

Become the CEO of your child’s future. “If it’s to be, it’s up to me.”

Only through self-reliance, personal responsibility and rugged individualism, can a parent change their child’s direction and super-charge their future.

What did we teach Dakota that isn’t being taught in the public schools of Nevada? Since almost the day that Dakota was born, her mom and dad taught her the importance of work ethic — that to succeed she would have to out work, out shine, out smart, and out hustle every other student…

Go here to read Root’s full column and find out for yourself how the Libertarian approach to education makes our future better and brighter.
