Elected Libertarians: Springtown, Texas City Councilman Tom Clayton

Tom Clayton is on the City Council for Springtown, Texas. He graduated in 1996 from UNLV with a degree in Political science and went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from UNLV in 1998. He has been serving Springtown for over 9 years in public office, including time on the Mayor’s Task Force on transportation in 2007 and as a member of the Springtown Planning and Zoning Committee from 2003-2006.

Clayton aims to lighten the tax burden on Springtown residents by attracting more businesses to the area. In his campaign, he also stressed the importance of improving the city’s roads and enhancing citizens’ access to medical care throughout the district.
